The second day of orientation was conducted at PJ Auditorium on 3rd Sept 2024 from 9.30 am onwards by Mr.Sandeep Konnanath,Chief Executive,Glowmind Training Consultancy Pvt Ltd by conducting a session on “Building Effective Connections and Fostering Collaboration”.He conducted an interactive session to our newly joined batch and the session was very lively.

Seminar on “DOs & DONTs in an Interview”
The department(Training and Placement Cell) conducted a session on the topic ” Do’s & Don’ts in an interview ” for our third semester batch (2023 admn) on 22,23 July 2024 , 2.00 PM at MCA Conference Hall. Dr.K P Ouseph ,IFS, Manager,UC College,Aluva ,was the resource person.

Passing out Ceremony 2022 Batch
Passing out ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important point in students’ lives . It was held at MLP conference center conducted by our department at 10.00am on June 26, 2024 to final year students 2022 Admn Batch. The ceremony started with a prayer followed by welcome address by Mrs. Sherna Mohan , Head of the Department for esteemed dignitaries on the dais, students and faculty members. Prof.Dr.P G Sankaran,Vice Chancellor,CUSAT was the chief guest. Dr.A.V Alex felicitate the programme. The speech was followed by certificate distribution to the graduates by the dignitaries on the dais. Around 119 students attended the event. The meeting came to an end with vote of thanks.
Industrial Visit to TCS
The IIPC of MCA Department organized an Industrial Visit for all students(2021 admn and 2022 admn) on 31st July 2023 to TCS,Kakkanad Infopark Campus,Kochi. 135 students along with 5 staffs participated in this event.The purpose of the visit was to provide students with practical insights into the operations, processes, and working environment of a real-world industrial setting. The interactive session was conducted by Mr.Ashwin Joy by providing valuable insights into the latest trends and advancements in the IT industry especially the rapid development of AI.The visit was truly inspiring and eye-opening for our students and faculty members. The sessions came to a close at 12.15 pm.
Inauguration MCA 2024 Batch
The batch of 2024-’26 was formally inaugurated on 2nd Sept 2024 at MCA Department,Union Christian College, Aluva. The ceremony was attended by the new batch of students along with their parents,faculty, and staff of department at MCA seminar hall.Mr Dinesh P Thampi,Vice President & head,TCS was the chief guest.The inaugural ceremony starts with prayer service followed by formal inaugural function.Respected chief guest delivered the inaugural address.The ceremony continued with Key note address for newly admitted students delivered by our chief guest and a session for parents by Ms.Syna Soosan Abraham,Assistant Professor,Psycology dept,UC College,Aluva.
