IIPC

To bring industry closer to the academia and vice-versa, the department mooted the idea of an Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC).

The purpose is to bring together at a common forum of academicians, industrialists, practicing managers and administrators to participate in discussion and help in evolving consensus on various emerging issues besides identification of thrust areas for joint programs of research and development between industries and college.

Industry Institute Partnership Cell forms an important activity part of any academic institute as its participants interact with the real world. . Primarily, the students are benefited a lot due to exposure to current practices in industry

The center helps:

  • To bring industry closer to the academe
  • To make the curricula more relevant
  • To generate resources in the form of industry supported projects and consultancy programs, and to expose the faculty to latest trends in industry.

Industry Institute Partnership Cell [IIP Cell] of Union Christian College was inaugurated on 19th August, 2005 by Dr. P K Abdul Azis, Vice-Chancellor, CUSAT who offered all support in bringing together experts from different industrial sectors and academe and allied policy makers to set the trend and prepare guidelines for future activities. The Cell conducts transITion, a ‘Distinguished Lecture Series’ every year and experts from industries give lectures.
